Hippo is seeking a Lead Technical Architect in the UK to shape architectural vision and technical strategy across diverse public and private sector clients. You will lead complex engagements, set standards, and mentor senior engineers while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.

You will act as a trusted advisor to C-suite stakeholders, guiding long-term technical direction and ensuring secure, scalable, and well-engineered solutions. This is a leadership role with strategic impact.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience as a Technical Architect.
• Expertise across major Public Cloud platforms, including multi-cloud strategies.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and advanced CI/CD tooling.
• Extensive Infrastructure-as-Code experience using Terraform.
• Ability to influence C-suite and executive stakeholders.
• Security, Networking and governance principles in a cloud context.
• Experience in a consultancy environment, including pre-sales and business growth.
• Proven Agile leadership and team mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Define architectural vision, standards and best practices across Hippo Digital deliveries.
• Act as trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, guiding long-term technical strategy.
• Lead complex technical engagements with architecture oversight and QA.
• Mentor and coach technical architects and engineers.
• Drive pre-sales and bids, shaping technical responses.
• Contribute to Hippo Digital's thought leadership via public speaking and writing.
• Make and communicate key architectural decisions impacting multiple projects.
