Job summary

Rolls-Royce plc is seeking a Chief Development Engineer to lead the product development and validation programme for electrical (switchboard) products used on naval platforms. The role is Bristol-based with possible travel to Winsford and a hybrid working pattern.

Qualifications

• Degree in relevant Engineering/Science/Technology subject.
• Experience delivering in multiple, complex engineering roles.
• Experience in Customer and Supply-chain facing environments.
• Knowledge of Development / Verification lifecycle in a regulated industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide Programme and Technical leadership to the Work Package team.
• Define and own the Product Development Programme to deliver demonstrators/prototypes.
• Introduce and validate tools and methods for robust design and production.
• Manage verification programmes to ensure all requirements are met.
• Ensure capability and infrastructure for validation activities.
