Job summary

Deutsche Bank AG in London seeks a Model Development Team Lead for Name List Screening (NLS) & Transaction Screening (TS) within Model Strats. Lead model development across NS and TS, driving new SOTA models and tuning incumbent strategies.

You will work with cross-functional teams, contribute to governance and validation, and focus on people development while operating in a global, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience developing analytical or machine learning models in financial services.
• Experience building NLP/ML/AI pipelines, including feature engineering, model training, evaluation and monitoring.
• Experience with hyperparameter tuning at scale and experimentation frameworks.
• Strong technical experience with SQL and Python; significant experience with Spark for large-scale data processing.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with collaborative leadership capabilities and documentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the model development team, setting priorities, standards and ways of working.
• Own end-to-end delivery of new SOTA challenger models for NS and TS.
• Tune and optimise incumbent models’ strategies.
• Design and govern LLM-as-judge approaches within alert handling processes with governance and testing.
• Document model logic, assumptions and test outcomes in line with governance and validation standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to respond to internal audit queries and manage remediation actions.
