We seek a Model Shop Supervisor to lead a team in producing high-quality test components for Wind Tunnel testing, ensuring excellence in mechanical assembly and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Wind Tunnel model part preparation and testing.
• Extensive model-making experience in high-level motorsport, preferably F1.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical assemblies and installations.

Job Description:

Supervise a team of Lead Model Technicians in the Model Shop and Wind Tunnel environment, overseeing the production, delivery, and testing of high-quality test components and assemblies for Wind Tunnel testing.

What you will be doing:

• Manage the Model Shop workload to meet the targets of the Aerodynamic testing program.
• Supervise a team to deliver development projects to the Wind Tunnel.
• Ensure parts and assemblies meet high standards and deadlines.
• Build complex mechanical assemblies for Wind Tunnel models.
• Address technical challenges and resolve problems.
• Collaborate with Model Design Engineers to improve Model change efficiency and part quality.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Support Health and Safety management.

Requirements:

• Experience in Wind Tunnel model part preparation and testing.
• Extensive model-making experience in high-level motorsport, preferably F1.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical assemblies and installations.
• Experience with metrology equipment.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Ability to perform duties accurately and timely.
• Effective leadership and mentorship abilities.
• Clear communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Commitment to an inclusive and open culture.
• Willingness to travel regularly, including weekends.
