Job summary

Co-op in Manchester is seeking a Lead Micro Space Planner to drive best practices in space planning and coaching across the Micro Space Planning team. You will develop planograms using JDA, ensure alignment with merchandising strategies, and help deliver products in the right place at the right time.

You will mentor planners, analyze performance insights, and collaborate with buying, marketing and merchandising to achieve business goals.

Qualifications

• Experience with specialty space planning software and store merchandising processes.
• Experience coaching or mentoring colleagues and supporting teams through change.
• Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills with constructive challenge.
• Strong analytical skills; use data and insights to improve performance.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse teams across functions.

Responsibilities

• Define and embed best practice across the Micro Space Planning team, ensuring alignment with range and merchandising strategies.
• Coach and support Micro Space Planners to improve quality and consistency of outputs.
• Act as SME for micro space planning; advise on range reviews, promotions and seasonal activity.
• Create customer-focused planograms using JDA; lead reviews.
• Evaluate merchandising performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Build relationships with buying, marketing and merchandising teams to meet business objectives.
• Support Merchandising Manager with expertise and delegation as needed.
• Contribute to projects, trials and new initiatives supporting merchandising strategy.
