Job summary

The Medical Examiner service is hosted by Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust and is responsible for scrutinising non-coronial deaths in the boroughs of Lewisham and Greenwich, including hospital and community settings.

The role involves leading daily ME operations, coordinating staff, and ensuring training and development are delivered to support quality reviews and adherence to national learning from deaths strategies.

Responsibilities

• Manage the ME service daily, including work allocation and performance monitoring.
• Oversee annual leave and sickness using the E-rostering system.
• Provide training and support to medical and administrative staff involved in the ME and learning from death agenda.
