Job summary

TLG Infrastructure Limited is seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to oversee the mechanical installation on a new-build school project in Rayleigh, Essex.

Reporting to the Mechanical Project Manager, you will supervise day-to-day site activities, manage subcontractors and labour, ensure works are carried out safely, on programme and to the required quality. This long-term contract offers prospects within a growing M&E contractor.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent Mechanical qualification (City & Guilds or Apprenticeship).
• Proven experience delivering new-build education, commercial or public sector projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, pipework and mechanical building services installations.
• SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
• CSCS Skill Card is essential to on-site works.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all mechanical installation activities on site.
• Oversee delivery of HVAC, pipework, plant rooms, domestic water services and above-ground drainage installations.
• Manage mechanical subcontractors and direct labour.
• Ensure works are completed safely, on programme and to specification.
• Carry out quality inspections and manage snagging works.
• Coordinate labour, materials and plant requirements.
• Review mechanical drawings and technical information.
• Attend site progress and coordination meetings.
• Liaise with the client, consultants and other trades.
• Maintain accurate site records and daily progress reports.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures, RAMS and site standards.
