Job summary

Build Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager in London to lead the delivery of a £10M mechanical project. You will coordinate site activities, manage subcontractors and labour, and ensure works are completed on time, to high standards and in line with RAMS.

You will oversee day-to-day installation, monitor progress against the programme and maintain strong client and project team relationships. SMSTS or equivalent site management qualifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Several years’ experience in a mechanical subcontractor environment.
• Proven experience managing mechanical installation works on site.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, pipework and plant installation.
• Experience managing subcontractors and site teams.
• Ability to coordinate multiple activities and keep works on programme.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Relevant site management qualifications, such as SMSTS.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day mechanical installation activities on site
• Coordinating subcontractors, labour and site teams
• Working closely with the wider project team, including the client and other trades
• Monitoring progress against programme and reporting to senior management
• Ensuring works are delivered safely and in line with RAMS and site requirements
• Overseeing quality, snagging and completion of mechanical works
• Reviewing drawings and resolving technical queries on site
• Maintaining site documentation and supporting the management of variations
• Building strong working relationships with the client and project team
