Job summary

Black Point Recruitment LTD is seeking a Mechanical Site Manager in Colchester to oversee mechanical building services on-site from installation to handover. You will coordinate subcontractors, witness commissioning, and ensure safety and quality on every phase.

The role requires NVQ Level 2 in Mechanical Eng Services (Plumbing) or equivalent, strong HVAC knowledge, and proven on-site supervision experience. A permanent, full-time position in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in mechanical building services installation and site supervision.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Experience managing subcontractors and site teams.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and plans.
• HSE training such as SMSTS or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Produce material lists and order materials from drawings and plans.
• Coordinate and oversee mechanical services installations on site.
• Witness commissioning of mechanical systems and carry out tests.
• Quality checks throughout installation and at completion.
