Job summary

Build Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager for a major London project. You will take ownership of the mechanical works on site, coordinating subcontractors and site teams to deliver safely and to programme.

You will monitor progress, liaise with the client and wider project team, review drawings, resolve technical queries and maintain documentation to support successful handover.

Qualifications

• Several years' experience in a mechanical subcontractor environment.
• Proven experience managing mechanical installation works on site.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, pipework and plant installation.
• Experience managing subcontractors and site teams.
• Ability to coordinate multiple activities and keep works on programme.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• SMSTS qualification.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day mechanical installation activities on site.
• Coordinating subcontractors, labour and site teams.
• Working closely with the wider project team, including the client and other trades.
• Monitoring progress against programme and reporting to senior management.
• Ensuring works are delivered safely and in line with RAMS and site requirements.
• Overseeing quality, snagging and completion of mechanical works.
• Reviewing drawings and resolving technical queries on site.
• Maintaining site documentation and supporting the management of variations.
• Building strong working relationships with the client and project team.
