Job summary

Contract Scotland in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead mechanical building services projects from planning through handover. You will oversee HVAC, ventilation, heating, plumbing and related systems, coordinating site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure safe, on-time delivery within budget.

Experience in healthcare, education, hospitality, offices or heritage sectors is beneficial, with a strong focus on safety, quality and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Mechanical Project Manager or similar mechanical building services role.
• Strong technical understanding of mechanical installations within the construction industry.
• Experience managing subcontractors, site teams, project programmes and budgets.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive approach to project delivery, with a focus on safety, quality and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Managing mechanical building services projects from pre-construction through to handover.
• Coordinating site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders.
• Overseeing the installation of mechanical services, including HVAC, ventilation, heating, plumbing and associated systems.
• Managing project programmes, budgets, resources and procurement.
• Working closely with main contractors, consultants and design teams to ensure effective project coordination.
• Monitoring health and safety, quality assurance and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Identifying and resolving technical issues and programme challenges.
• Managing commissioning, snagging and final project handover.
• Maintaining strong working relationships with clients and ensuring high standards of project delivery.
