Job summary

Raven Search in the United Kingdom is seeking a Mechanical Estimating Manager for a new Trafford Park operation, leading the estimating function on a £350m healthcare project.

You will work with senior management on bid strategy, review drawings and specs, and coordinate with pre-construction, design, commercial and operations teams to deliver deliverable, competitive tenders.

The role offers £70,000-£85,000 plus full benefits and potential to shape the GB expansion.

Qualifications

• Significant mechanical estimating experience in MEP or main contracting.
• Strong grasp of mechanical building services and costs.
• Attention to detail for competitive tenders.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders to deadlines.
• Experience with healthcare, education, hotels or commercial schemes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pricing mechanical packages for the £350 million healthcare project.
• Leading the mechanical estimating function and tender process.
• Reviewing drawings, specs, schedules to define project requirements.
• Preparing accurate, competitive estimates for labour, materials, plant, subs.
• Managing subcontractor and supplier inquiries and comparisons.
• Collaborating with pre-construction, design, commercial and operations teams.
• Identifying risk and commercial considerations in each tender.
• Ensuring tenders are accurate, competitive and on time.
• Mentoring junior estimators and guiding the team.
• Building relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
