What will you be doing as our new Lead Mechanical Engineer?

You will provide technical direction to our mechanical engineering team, focusing on water or water recycling projects, ensuring designs comply with legislation and standards, and are efficient and sustainable.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure timely, within-budget project delivery meeting quality standards.
• Championing innovative approaches and digital technologies.
• Mentoring junior engineers and fostering their development.

Role Accountabilities include:

• Reporting to the Principal Engineer and collaborating with project stakeholders.
• Reviewing design deliverables for quality, safety, and compliance.
• Contributing to construction design management and commissioning strategies.
• Driving sustainability initiatives and exploring modular construction solutions.

Health & Safety:

• Ensuring designs adhere to safety standards and regulations.
• Providing solutions to enhance safety and reduce costs.
• Sharing knowledge and contributing to lessons learned.

Transformation:

• Utilizing digital technologies for efficiency and accuracy.
• Supporting efforts to reduce carbon footprint and promote sustainability.
• Mentoring team members for continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in water sector.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
• Proficiency in CAD and engineering tools.
