Senior Mechanical Engineer

A leading provider of advanced electrification and energy conversion systems is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join its high-performance engineering team.

You’ll contribute to the design and development of large rotating electrical machines used in mission-critical applications across Energy, Marine, and Industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the mechanical design, analysis, and optimisation [rotating machines.
• Apply FEA tools to evaluate stress, fatigue, vibration, and noise.
• Engage with project leads, clients, and manufacturing teams to align designs with functional and operational goals.
• Ensure designs align with project specifications, standards, and customer requirements.
• Investigate and integrate advanced materials and technologies to improve performance and cost-efficiency.

What We're Looking For:

• Eligible for UK SC.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with around 10 years of industry experience.
• Proficiency in mechanical FEA tools (ANSYS/Workbench), with strong understanding of stress/fatigue principles.
• Knowledge of electrical machines and associated manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with industry standards (ISO, IEC, BS EN) and engineering documentation tools (Teamcenter, SAP).
