Allied Vehicles Ltd in Glasgow is seeking a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to steer the design and development of specialist vehicle conversion systems from concept through to production.

You will lead the Mechanical Design Team, deliver 3D CAD models and drawings, maintain BOMs and specifications, and support RFQ activities with cross‑functional colleagues. A Mechanical Engineering degree, automotive experience, SolidWorks proficiency and a UK driving licence are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Significant automotive/manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Aufgaben

• Lead the design and development of mechanical aspects of vehicle conversion systems from concept through to production and delivery.
• Support the Mechanical Engineering Design Team.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, technical specifications and BOMs.
• Support RFQ process by addressing non-standard requests.
