Alternative Heat Ltd. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for its Head Office in Banbridge.

The role involves leading mechanical building services design for modular plantrooms and MEP modules on hyperscale datacentre projects, guiding a team of engineers and coordinating with DFMA and procurement teams. You will oversee design development, calculations, equipment selection and ensure compliance with standards, while driving continuous improvement and maintaining design integrity

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of mechanical building services designs, including reviewing client specifications, developing system schematics and operating sequences.
• Complete system calculations and select suitable equipment to meet performance and maintenance requirements.
• Coordinate designs with clients, suppliers, manufacturing and DFMA teams; mentor junior engineers and ensure design quality.
