Job summary

Wright Engineering is seeking experienced Package Managers to support mechanical engineering construction projects nationwide. You will manage defined work packages, coordinate subcontractors, and interface across trades while maintaining safety and project requirements.

The role involves leading teams of up to 20 operatives on site, contributing to weekly planning, and ensuring documentation and RAMS are up to date. A proactive, organized approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical engineering construction or a site-based environment.
• HSQE requirements and site safety documentation experience.
• RAMS, permits, POWRA, ITPs, and site file experience.
• Ability to plan, coordinate and manage weekly site activities.
• Experience managing small teams or work packages up to 20 operatives.
• Ability to support Construction Project Leads on larger-scale projects.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work closely with construction leads, subcontractors and clients.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a positive HSQE culture across the project.
• Ensure compliance with CDM responsibilities and site procedures.
• Review RAMS and update RAMS after site establishment.
• Adhere to Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Attend pre-start meetings and provide weekly progress reports.
• Deliver daily briefs to site teams.
• Organise equipment hire after site establishment.
• Maintain site files and documentation.
• Submit weekly labour requests.
• Report and manage non-conformances.
• Plan weekly activities and coordinate trade interfaces.
