Job summary

Serco Defence is seeking a Supervisor Aircraft Engineer (Mechanical) at RNAS Culdrose. You will oversee mechanical aircraft systems, ensure tasks meet regulatory standards, and mentor staff to maintain high safety and quality across Merlin aircraft components and related workshop activities.

The role requires supervisory qualifications and experience on aircraft systems, with awareness of health and safety, COSHH, and maintenance practices in a defence environment.

Qualifications

• Recognised supervisory qualification(s) on any aircraft type, supported by experience on mechanical aircraft systems/components.
• Recognised supervisory qualification(s) with experience from a related industry.

Responsibilities

• Ensure employees are authorised to carry out contracted tasks in line with Customer Regulations and Procedures.
• Monitor tasks to ensure safety, quality and timeliness.
• Flag risks, complaints and quality concerns to management.
• Mentor colleagues and identify training needs.
• Promote health, safety and environmental procedures and compliance.
