Job summary

ECM Selection (Holdings) Limited in the UK is seeking a senior C++ software engineer for a highly mathematical, algorithmic code base focused on design automation challenges.

You will lead implementation from requirements through testing, collaborating with a cross-disciplinary team to advance novel techniques and capabilities while applying strong mathematics and C++ skills. A PhD or MSc in a numerate STEM field is preferred.

Qualifications

• PhD or master’s in a numerate STEM subject from a leading university.
• Significant commercial C++ software development experience (C++14+).
• Strong mathematics and algorithm design/implementation skills.
• Experience with Linux operating systems.
• UK work permission without sponsorship.
• EDA experience or familiarity with Qt would be useful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of new functionality in a highly mathematical, algorithmic C++ code base.
• Engage in full software lifecycle from requirements to verification and testing.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary colleagues to develop new techniques and capabilities.
