Job summary

Qualifications

Materials Science or Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
Experience in materials research, testing or analysis and its contribution to reliability and performance of mechanical or electrical components or systems.
Proven ability to lead forensic materials investigations into failed components and systems.
Proven experience mentoring colleagues in a high-performance engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of scientists, engineers and technicians in materials engineering and set strategic directions.
Champion selection of appropriate materials, processes and manufacturing techniques across all engineering functions.
Mentor the Materials Engineering team and develop leadership skills within the group.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to improve powertrain reliability and performance.
