Job summary

Brookfield Properties is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee a high-complexity multi-unit residential property in Ashford. The role involves supervising maintenance staff, coordinating repairs, and managing contractors to ensure optimal operation and resident satisfaction.

The candidate should have 3–4 years of experience in commercial or multi-unit properties, plus strong English communication and basic computer literacy. A strong HVAC/electrical/plumbing foundation is preferred.

Qualifications

• This position requires a(n) High School diploma / GED.
• 3 - 4 Years: Commercial or Multi-unit Property – Required
• Computer and smart phone literacy required. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, for all work-related responsibilities. Multilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates maintenance staff; hires, disciplines, and conducts performance reviews.
• Repairs and maintains mechanical equipment including heating and air conditioning; diagnoses problems and replaces parts.
• Performs carpentry tasks such as installation of doors, doorjambs, moldings, hinges, door closers, locks and painting tasks.
• Performs electrical duties including inspecting/lighting, wiring and power circuits; replaces switches, lamps and ballasts.
• Performs plumbing duties such as unclogging sinks/toilets and repairing fixtures and pipes.
• Interfaces with contractors and vendors; creates specifications and secures bids; negotiates services.
