Job summary
Marshalls plc in Sittingbourne is seeking a Lead Maintenance Engineer to lead a two-person on‑shift team, ensuring continuous production by fault finding and preventive maintenance of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
The role offers a £57,596 per annum salary (including shift allowance), 42 hours per week on a 4 on/4 off rota, with overtime and benefits. You’ll work in a manufacturing environment focused on safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications (preferably time served apprenticeship).
- Experience in a medium/large automated manufacturing operation.
- Experience in leading an engineering team is preferable, although not essential.
- Knowledge of current environmental and health and safety issues and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in electrical fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance activities.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of two engineers on shift to ensure continuous production by fault finding and maintenance of equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.
