Job summary

TipTopJob seeks a Senior Maintenance Engineer to oversee breakdowns, installations, and improvements across electrical, mechanical, and automation systems in a manufacturing setting. The role is day-shift, Monday to Friday, with ownership of maintenance activities, fault finding, and reactive and planned maintenance to keep production running safely and efficiently.

Ideal candidates have NVQ3/City & Guilds, PLC exposure, and a proactive, collaborative approach in an industrial environment.

Job description

Senior Maintenance Engineer required to join a small specialised team in a senior capacity to deal with any and all break downs, machine installation and improvement to include system integration and automation of material handling equipment.

From traditional relay:controlled equipment to modern automated machinery, youll enjoy genuine variety and the chance to broaden your experience across electrical, mechanical and automation systems.

A competitive salary is on offer for a day shift based role to attract highly skilled maintenance engineer who can work in a senior or lead role to take full ownership of their duties within the dept.

The Role

As senior maintenance engineer, youll be responsible for keeping production running safely and efficiently through planned and reactive maintenance.

• Fault finding and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across the site.
• Maintaining motors, drives, control panels and industrial machinery.
• Working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Safely isolating and reinstating electrical equipment.
• Supporting continuous improvement activities.
• Gaining exposure to PLC:controlled equipment and automated production systems.

We're Keen To Hear From Maintenance Engineers Who Have

• A recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City and Guilds or equivalent).
• An electrical or mechanical maintenance background.
• Previous experience within manufacturing, production or an industrial environment.
• A practical approach to fault finding and maintenance.
• A willingness to learn and work across both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Experience with PLCs or automation is advantageous but not essential

current or recent experience as maintenance technician, multiskilled maintenance engineer, service engineer, lead maintenance enigneer, senior maintenance engineer, maintenance team leader
