W Talent is delighted to be recruiting a Lead Maintenance Engineer on behalf of a growing manufacturing business located in South Sheffield near Junction 31. This is a days-based role offering a standout opportunity to lead, improve, and make a real impact across the manufacturing facility.
Are you a proactive, electrically biased or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer ready to take the lead in a full site, dynamic environment? To be clear, this is a newly created role giving you the chance to thrive on driving continuous improvement and reducing downtime.
As the Lead Maintenance Engineer, you'll take ownership of site maintenance and improvement activity, ensuring equipment and facilities run at peak efficiency. Working closely with the Production, Engineering, and Operational teams, you'll be instrumental in maintaining high safety standards, boosting uptime, and supporting CI initiatives across the site.
The ideal candidate will live within a commutable distance of Sheffield and hold an ONC/HNC or equivalent qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering. They will bring a proven background in maintenance within fast-paced manufacturing environments, with hands-on experience in both preventive and reactive maintenance. Strong problem-solving and organisational abilities are essential, along with a track record of successfully implementing TPM, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
