Responsibilities
- Lead and support the delivery of maintenance across multiple stores, developing safety initiatives and campaigns to ensure a safe, functional, and legal environment for colleagues and customers.
- Lead, engage, and develop a diverse team of approximately 150 multi-skilled technicians, enhancing performance through regular one-to-one meetings, mentoring, and performance reviews.
- Own personal and team development initiatives.
- Review workload and capacity to maintain prioritization, efficiency, and business continuity.
- Manage financials through analysis and judgment, ensuring control over budgets, fleet, headcount, overtime, parts, repairs, and capital expenditure.
- Ensure critical asset availability via daily operational reviews, diagnosing issues, and recommending solutions using specialist knowledge and resources.
- Support the creation of programs and projects, with plans spanning from three months to one year, with impacts expected at six months.
- Achieve company KPIs and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Build effective relationships internally and externally, ensuring compliance during audits.
Requirements
- Remote leadership experience of technical management teams.
- Experience in retail, facilities, or manufacturing maintenance management.
- Strong leadership, development, and change management skills.
- Technical and maintenance engineering knowledge.
- Excellent communication, partner management, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to analyze data for timely decision-making.
- Networking skills, risk management, and critical thinking abilities.
- Financial acumen with experience in delivering budgets.
- Proven track record in service delivery at a similar scale.
