Job Title: Multi-Skilled Engineer
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a Lead Engineer to join our team in Epsom, Surrey. This site-based role involves delivering professional, compliant services to our client, managing planned and reactive work requests at the Epsom site. The engineer will collaborate with the wider team to ensure a consistent, best-in-class service.
Role Responsibilities
- Meet all technical KPI's and SLA's for planned and reactive activities.
- Report on asset conditions via the CAFM system, updating LCAM data and highlighting unrecorded plant and equipment.
- Proactively raise work orders for corrective maintenance and PPMs.
- Maintain up-to-date, audit-ready site records, prioritizing statutory tasks.
- Follow all CBRE policies and procedures.
- Deliver activities professionally, enhancing the customer experience.
- Participate in callout rota for urgent/emergency responses.
- Support outside of normal hours or at other sites as needed.
- Communicate delays in work orders to the Facilities Manager for rescheduling or escalation.
- Supervise third-party contractors, review safety documentation, and issue permits as required.
- Report safety concerns via 'unsafe acts/conditions' reporting.
- Assist with project works overlapping with operational delivery.
- Maintain site consumables to prevent delays.
- Manage professional email accounts and respond promptly.
- Attend training and meetings as scheduled.
Experience and Qualifications
- Experience in Facilities Management or Maintenance Engineering roles.
- 18th Edition electrical wiring qualification.
- Experience with Reactive and PPM maintenance.
- Degree or qualification in Electrical or Mechanical discipline.
- Strong customer focus and commitment to improvement.
- Knowledge of emergency response protocols.
- Understanding of utility monitoring and environmental programs.
- IOSH or equivalent health & safety training.
- Excellent contract and supplier management skills.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills at all levels.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and proactive.
- Confident decision-making ability.
- Knowledge of water hygiene (L8) – desirable.
- BMS controls or HVAC experience – desirable.
