Commutable: Basingstoke, Farnborough, Newbury

We are recruiting for a market leading processing business who have an opportunity for a Lead Engineer to join the team at their automated factory in Hampshire. I am looking for a Lead Technician from a factory / manufacturing background that is multi skilled, with an electrical bias, holding an electrical engineering qualification. As a Lead Technician you'll be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring that all equipment runs efficiently and reliably. You will liaise with external contractors to coordinate maintenance and repair activities, and you'll be expected to review and update maintenance schedules on a daily and weekly basis. Continuous improvement initiatives and improvements will be a key part of your responsibilities, requiring you to create and maintain pre-planned maintenance schedules for their facility. In addition, you will step up and deputize for the engineering manager as needed. You will have 6 multi-skilled engineers reporting into you.

Skills required for the Lead Engineer:

  • Have an Electrical engineering qualification.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical skills
  • Leadership or Supervisory Experience
  • Experience within a Fast-paced manufacturing environment/ Factory Background
  • Diagnosing faults and repairing equipment.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to health and safety regulations.
