Job Title: Lead Maintenance Engineer

Rota: Days Monday to Friday

We are seeking a Lead Engineer with an Electrically Biased Multi Skilled background for a prestigious company based in Hampstead. The candidate should be highly motivated, self-sufficient, skilled, confident, and ambitious. You will join a team of professional facilities management personnel, working directly with the client’s Managing Director.

This role involves maintaining facilities infrastructure, delivering outstanding service, and embracing diversity and inclusion. The organization values an equitable work environment, which is fundamental to their success.

Duties include:

• Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) according to schedules, ensuring standards are met to maximize operational effectiveness.
• Adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Performing PPM, reactive, and project works.
• Handling electrical work including lighting, wiring, alarm systems, BMS, UPS, generators, and lighting systems.
• Participating in an out-of-hours call-out rota for emergencies.
• Managing maintenance workload aligned with KPIs.
• Overseeing specialist contractors and conducting site inductions.
• Liaising professionally with clients.
• Responding promptly to electrical and mechanical reactive maintenance issues and help desk requests.
• Conducting technical surveys and reporting findings.
• Reviewing and implementing new techniques to improve service.
• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults.
• Carrying out minor installations and repairs.

Requirements:

• City & Guilds Parts 1 and 2 (Electrical Installation 2360) or equivalent.
• 18th Edition IEE Certification or equivalent.
• City & Guilds Part 3 (Electrical Installation 2360) or equivalent.
• City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing).
• ACOP L8 water systems maintenance training.
• Experience with Building Management Systems.
• Supervisory experience for career development.
