Lead Engineer
Salary: £43,000 - £48,000
Shift: Rotation Days & Nights
Location: Basingstoke, Farnborough, Newbury

We are recruiting for a market-leading processing business that has an opportunity for a Lead Engineer to join their automated factory in Hampshire. We are looking for a Lead Technician with a factory/manufacturing background who is multi-skilled, has an electrical bias, and holds an electrical engineering qualification.

As a Lead Technician, your responsibilities will include carrying out planned and reactive maintenance to ensure all equipment operates efficiently and reliably. You will liaise with external contractors to coordinate maintenance and repair activities, and you'll be expected to review and update maintenance schedules regularly. Continuous improvement initiatives will be a key part of your role, including creating and maintaining pre-planned maintenance schedules for the facility. Additionally, you will deputize for the engineering manager as needed.

You will have 6 multi-skilled engineers reporting to you.

Skills required for the Lead Engineer:
  1. Electrical engineering qualification
  2. Strong electrical and mechanical skills
