Job summary

OnTarget Communications is seeking an experienced Lead Product Engineer to drive the design and development of advanced machine control systems. The role involves leading the full product lifecycle from concept to deployment and continuous improvement, working across software, hardware, manufacturing, and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in machine control system design (PLC, embedded systems, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of product lifecycle management (PLM) and engineering processes.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in engineering environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Relevant engineering degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of machine control systems, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Own and manage all stages of the product lifecycle, including concept development, design, validation, production, and post-launch support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, hardware, manufacturing, and quality engineering.
• Define system architectures, technical requirements, and design standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and innovation in control system technologies.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
