Grant Thornton Belfast is seeking an experienced Corporate Transactions Tax Advisory Associate Director to lead complex, cross-border transaction tax engagements for large corporate and multinational clients. You will manage client relationships, drive multi-workstream engagements and play a key role in business development.

The role focuses on end-to-end delivery, strong risk management, and mentoring junior staff within a collaborative team environment in Belfast.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA and/or CTA qualification.
• Significant PQE in corporation tax within a large practice or similar environment.
• Experience in Transaction Tax Advisory on substantial corporate or cross-border transactions.
• Proven ability to manage and develop client relationships and contribute to practice growth.
• Strong project management and commercial awareness including budgets, WIP and recoverability.
• Experience leading and mentoring teams, with engagement in complex technical matters.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across levels, including senior stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple Transaction Tax Advisory engagements for large corporate and complex transactions.
• Drive project timelines, quality standards and coordination across internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Own and develop key client relationships; identify opportunities to support broader business objectives.
• Provide direction and coaching to Managers and junior team members on technical matters.
• Oversee engagement economics, including WIP and recoverability, with a focus on strong recovery performance.
• Support business development activities: proposals, pitches, networking and opportunity identification.
• Contribute to growth of the Transaction Tax Advisory practice through market engagement and thought leadership.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the firm and with third-party advisers to deliver integrated solutions.
