Job summary

Hamilton Barnes Associates Limited is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, deploy and support the next generation of low-latency networks powering global trading operations.

You will work with a world-class engineering team to deliver scalable, high-performance networks across multiple international locations, focusing on performance, resilience and automation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of designing and supporting large-scale networks.
• Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, multicast, TCP/IP and data centre networking.
• Experience with Arista, Cisco, Juniper or similar enterprise networking platforms.
• Background in network architecture, capacity planning and infrastructure design.
• Strong troubleshooting using Wireshark or tcpdump.
• Experience with Linux networking and automation using Python or Ansible or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and optimise large-scale data centre and enterprise networks.
• Deliver end-to-end network infrastructure projects.
• Improve network performance, scalability and resilience.
• Troubleshoot complex Layer 2/Layer 3 networking issues.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams supporting performance-critical environments.
• Drive automation and continuous improvement across the network estate.
