Hamilton Barnes in London–Hybrid is partnering with a global leader in high-frequency trading to hire an experienced Senior Network Engineer to design, build, and scale the next generation of high-performance network infrastructure powering mission-critical trading environments.

You’ll play a key role in shaping network architecture, delivering large-scale data centre solutions, and working alongside world-class engineers to build infrastructure that operates at the cutting edge of technology

Qualifications

• 10+ years designing and supporting enterprise-scale or data centre networks.
• Strong expertise across BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, spine-leaf architectures and multicast.
• Experience with high-performance switching platforms (Arista, Cisco, NVIDIA/Cumulus or SONiC).
• Exposure to network automation with Python or Ansible.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and optimise large-scale data centre and HPC network environments.
• Build high-performance, low-latency infrastructure across global locations.
• Drive improvements around network scalability, performance, reliability, and capacity planning.
• Automate network operations through scripting and tooling improvements.
