Job summary

Charnwood Borough Council in Leicestershire is seeking a Team Leader Local Plans to lead a small team in developing planning policies at local and strategic levels and to drive the local plan under the new Planning System.

This role requires dynamic leadership, robust policy expertise, and the ability to engage with stakeholders, community groups and external bodies to support sustainable growth and high-quality places for residents.

Qualifications

• Substantial recent experience of preparing development plan policies.
• Direct experience of preparation and presentation of evidence and reports for public enquiries to community groups and other external organisations.
• Experience of dealing with major and complex planning policy issues.
• Be a team player with a positive approach, willing to contribute to the delivery of excellent customer service.
