Job summary

SER (Staffing) Ltd is recruiting for a Lighting Prep Manager / Head of Department in Marden, Kent. The role leads a small team to oversee prep, testing and maintenance of professional moving lights before and after hire, ensuring equipment leaves the warehouse in top condition and returns for servicing efficiently.

The position involves working on high-profile TV and live entertainment projects, with a Monday–Friday pattern, overtime opportunities, and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a Lighting Prep or warehouse team.
• Strong knowledge of moving lighting fixtures and control equipment.
• Capable of fault-finding and repairing lighting gear.
• Background in lighting rental, production or manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Lighting Warehouse Technicians.
• Oversee preparation and de-preparation of lighting equipment for rental projects.
• Test, inspect and fault-find moving lights and lighting consoles.
• Perform maintenance, servicing and repairs on professional lighting equipment.
• Allocate workloads and forecast prep requirements.
