Job summary

SER Limited in Marden, Kent is seeking a Lighting Prep Manager to lead a small team of Warehouse Lighting Technicians. You’ll oversee preparation, testing, maintenance and de-prep of professional moving lights and lighting control gear for hire, ensuring equipment leaves the warehouse in top condition and returns promptly for servicing.

You’ll support high-profile productions and work a Monday–Friday schedule with overtime potential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a lighting prep or warehouse team.
• Experience with professional moving lighting fixtures and controls.
• Strong fault-finding and repair capabilities.
• Background in lighting rental/production environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Lighting Warehouse Technicians.
• Oversee prep and de-prep of lighting equipment for rental projects.
• Test, inspect and fault-find moving lights and consoles.
• Carry out maintenance, servicing and repairs on lighting gear.
• Allocate workloads and forecast prep requirements.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned, labelled and ready for dispatch.
• Manage repairs and coordinate replacement parts as needed.
• Maintain accurate stock and equipment records.
• Troubleshoot technical issues for the warehouse team.
• Ensure all equipment meets quality standards before leaving site.
• Collaborate with project teams to meet client timelines.
