Job summary

Framatome UK is seeking a Lifting Superintendent to oversee mechanical lifting activities for the installation of primary components at the Hinkley Point C site. You will apply rigging expertise, review lift plans, and supervise operations to ensure safety and compliance.

Strong experience in lift planning, rigging, and crane operations within a nuclear or major construction setting is essential. A BPSS or higher security clearance is desirable and health and safety standards must be strictly

Qualifications

• Lift planning and rigging operations experience is essential.
• Experience with Mobile, Crawler and Tower cranes is preferred.
• Nuclear industry experience or familiarity with power stations safety culture is advantageous.
• Experience on major construction projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with lifting processes and procedures to control activities.
• Review lift plans according to Framatome and NN B lifting standards.
• Perform lifting assurance checks on equipment and accessories.
• Coordinate subcontractor briefings for lifting operations.
• Ensure lift plans meet safety standards and right‑first‑time principles.
• Plan resources and designate a Lift/Rigging Supervisor on site.
• Attend coordination meetings to schedule crane slots.
