Qualifications

  • Successfully completed an approved Legionella Risk Assessment course such as City & Guilds or Water Management Society.
  • Good educational background – ideally educated to degree level.
  • Good working knowledge of commercial and industrial water systems, including more complex systems.
  • Experience undertaking legionella risk assessments across a varied portfolio.
  • Previous experience delivering training courses/presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Legionella Risk Assessors and attend sites as required.
  • Provide technical consultancy advice.
  • Carry out Legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8.
  • Assist with technical support and services.
  • Deliver legionella training to clients.
  • Compile schematic drawings and produce final documents.
  • Provide recommendations and prices for remedial works.
  • Undertake monthly temperature testing and water sampling.
  • Survey water systems as per ACOP L8.
  • Write up reports and attend meetings with clients.

A valuable opportunity has arisen within a reputable water hygiene/legionella company with a national presence. The company is now recruiting for an experienced, well‑versed and hardworking Lead Legionella Consultant based in the London area. The successful postholder will come from a strong water hygiene, chemical and legionella background and will be experienced in delivering legionella consultancy advice to a varied site base with experience working on healthcare sites. Applications from Enfield, Edgware, Wembley, Hounslow and the surrounding area will be considered.

Qualifications & Essential Experience
  • Successfully completed an approved Legionella Risk Assessment course such as City & Guilds or Water Management Society.
  • Good educational background – ideally educated to degree level.
  • Good working knowledge of commercial and industrial water systems, including more complex systems.
  • Experience undertaking legionella risk assessments across a varied portfolio.
  • Previous experience delivering training courses/presentations to professionals will be beneficial.
  • Proven track record of providing legionella consultancy services to clients.
  • Competent with Microsoft office package.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Legionella Risk Assessors and attend sites as and when required.
  • Provide technical consultancy advice.
  • Carry out high level Legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8 risk assessments.
  • Assist with technical support and services.
  • Deliver legionella training to clients.
  • Compile schematic drawings and produce final documents for clients.
  • Provide recommendations and prices for remedial works, routine control measures through to quotations, and carry out such works based on the risk assessments.
  • Undertake monthly temperature testing and water sampling.
  • Survey water systems and supplies as per ACOP L8.
  • Write up reports and attend meetings with clients to discuss findings when required.
  • Maintain and develop a professional working rapport with clients and colleagues of all levels.
