Job summary

The postholder at North East Surrey College of Technology (NESCOT) will lead and coordinate the delivery of learning support for English and maths, managing a team of LSAs and Teaching Assistants to ensure inclusive support for students with additional needs. You will work closely with curriculum teams, parents and external agencies.

You will drive planning, assessments, progress monitoring and EHCP annual reviews, ensuring accurate records and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of SEND, including EHCPs and the Annual Review process.
• Experience of Exam Access Arrangements (EAA).
• Proven experience in supervising or leading staff.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to analyse practice and drive improvements.
• Effective communicator, collaborative with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate delivery of learning support in English and maths by managing and developing staff.
• Support planning, assessments, target setting and progress monitoring using the graduated approach.
• Contribute to EHCP annual reviews with parents, carers, Local Authorities and stakeholders.
• Support quality assurance and continuous improvement, ensuring safeguarding and SEND compliance.
• Review enrolment levels and contribute to systems including High Needs funding and exam access arrangements.
