Job summary

Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) at Writtle College is seeking a Learner Engagement Manager to lead the Learner Engagement and Safeguarding Team. The role focuses on delivering high-quality pastoral support, managing caseloads, and supporting staff to promote wellbeing, attendance, engagement and achievement across learners.

You will work with curriculum staff, learners, parents/carers and external agencies to remove barriers to learning and create an inclusive environment where students thrive,

Qualifications

• Experience in pastoral or safeguarding leadership within FE college or similar educational setting.
• Strong knowledge of KCSIE, Ofsted EIF, and safeguarding legislation.
• Degree and evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the role.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day line management of Learner Engagement Assistants and oversee wellbeing, attendance, engagement and achievement.
• Coordinate support for learners with curriculum colleagues, students, parents/carers and external agencies.
• Contribute to safeguarding, inclusion practices and development across the College.
