Intellectual Capital Resources Ltd is partnering with a client to recruit a Lead Laser Applications Engineer on an onsite basis with occasional travel for customer meetings. You will lead R&D and customer application projects, translate requirements into laser processing solutions, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to optimize machines and processes.

The role requires a physics/materials science/engineering background and a track record in lasers and optical systems, with strong

Competenze

Degree or extensive experience in Physics, Materials Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
Proven experience designing, developing or implementing lasers and optical systems.
Strong knowledge of laser materials processing.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Mansioni

Lead and prioritise R&D and customer application projects, managing a team of engineers.
Manage project schedules, resources and progress, reporting to management.
Translate customer requirements into effective laser processing solutions.
Develop and optimise laser and optical processes for materials processing.
Analyse results and produce technical reports and documentation.
Provide technical support to the sales team, and participate in customer presentations.
Work with electrical, mechanical and software teams to optimise machine designs.
Commission laser processes on customer machines and support acceptance testing.
Lead testing, validation and resolution of technical issues.
Ensure processes meet relevant quality and industry standards.
