Job summary

Bob and Berts Stirling is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead the back-of-house, owning the kitchen, inventory, staff scheduling, and food safety. You will ensure high-quality breakfast and lunch service, mentor a small team, and develop menus in a fast-paced café environment.

The role requires hands-on leadership, passion for food and coffee, and weekend/morning availability to maintain a seamless customer experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in kitchen supervision, cafe chef, or similar in high-volume environment.
• Experience in inventory, costing, and kitchen staff management.
• Essential: Food Hygiene Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily kitchen operations and ensure prompt service and high-quality food.
• Prepare menu items per recipes, ensuring taste and presentation consistency.
• Oversee stock, place supplier orders, and conduct weekly stocktakes to minimise waste.
• Schedule and train kitchen staff for peak hours and weekends.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and allergen management.
• Collaborate on menu development and coordination with front-of-house.
