Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for the Equities Derivatives Front Office Flow Technology Team in London. You will lead the development of pricing, quoting and market view applications to support clients, trading and sales and drive automation across the end-to-end workflow.

You will work in an agile environment, contribute to cloud-based solutions, APIs, and AI-assisted development, and collaborate with global teams to deliver scalable technology products securely.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and advanced applied experience in Java.
• Strong OO design skills with knowledge of object modelling and design patterns.
• Experience with development, deployment and maintenance of commercial service oriented applications.
• Disciplined approach to code management, testing and deployment practices and high quality delivery.
• Understanding of unit testing and AI-assisted software development tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop Java services integrated in end-to-end processing of derivative products.
• Build front-end desktop apps with C#/WPF and JavaScript to interface with Java services.
• Design and code robust, secure APIs to persist/retrieve data and implement business logic.
• Drive enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed and security.
• Participate in code reviews and share knowledge across the team.
