Job summary

Egis seeks an experienced ITS/ Technology Design lead to manage design delivery for major UK projects, including M25. You will coordinate internal and external design resources, ensure cost‑effective solutions, and deliver to programme, budget and CPS quality standards.

Responsibilities include certifying designs, contributing to the Design Review Process, and ensuring CDM compliance while supporting continuous improvement and in‑house capability building.

Qualifications

• Relevant vocational qualifications (BEng/BSc/HNC/HND Desirable).
• Membership of an appropriate professional institution (IET or IHE).
• Working towards IEng or CEng level.
• Competent in ITS/ Technology Design and Assessment.
• Knowledge of CDM and other H&S legislation.
• Competent in exercising the Designer’s duties and the Principal Designer duties under CDM.
• Excellent IT Skills and Microsoft Office is essential.
• Knowledge of design and assessment standards (DMRB / MCHW / IEC / 18th Edition IET Requirements for Electrical Installations (C&G 2382) etc.) relevant to ITS/ Technology.
• Working knowledge of ITS/ Technology equipment (CCTV, signals, VMS, ERT, MIDAS, etc)

Responsibilities

• Lead ITS/ Technology Design schemes and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Produce, check and certify designs, documents and reports for submission to National Highways.
• Collaborate with the Design Team and external consultants throughout schemes.
• Deliver agreed outcomes on time and to budget to CPS technical standards and legal requirements.
• Assist with in-house design of technology packages.
