Job Description:
A Lead Infrastructure Engineer within the Proxy Service Delivery team will have the following responsibilities:
Job responsibilities:
- Client and Stakeholder management including client consultations, communication of expected completion dates, and ongoing expectation management.
- Contribute to process management and improvement within the team by updating and creating documentation and runbooks in line with engineering standards.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for Proxy issues.
- Collaborate with other IT & business teams to align proxy solutions with organizational goals.
- Contribute to change management process improvement by building standardized change implementation templates.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in installation, migration, and decommissioning of Broadcom (Bluecoat) devices including Proxy SG, Secure Web Gateway (ISG), Symantec Content Analysis Systems (CAS), SSL Visibility appliances, and Symantec Management Center (SMC).
- Experience with other SaaS-based Secure Gateway vendors like Zscaler, Netskope, etc.
- Ability to build, test, and deploy proxy-based security solutions.
- Good understanding of network infrastructure, security concepts, and application layer protocols (http/https), including vulnerability mitigation.
- Good understanding of REST API and container-based deployment models.
- Understanding of version and revision control practices and procedures.
- Proficient in using SIEM tools for investigation purposes.
- Scripting skills for automation in a Proxy environment, with experience in shell/python scripts and Ansible playbooks.
- Expertise in networking fundamentals including topology, VLANs, routing, switching, load balancing, and firewalls.
