Job summary

Manchester Digital is seeking a senior security engineer to lead the security engineering team, driving BAU delivery and ensuring alignment with the security strategy. You will validate designs with the Architecture team, guide engineering outputs, and mentor staff while advancing the security tooling roadmap across our enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ information security experience in financial services or ecommerce.
• Experience with ISO27001, NIST or equivalent.
• CISSP certification or actively pursuing it.
• Strong ownership, communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical escalation point for complex challenges.
• Oversee day-to-day security engineering BAU and meet SLAs.
• Ensure quality and consistency of engineering outputs for engagements.
• Support security tooling roadmap and bridge strategy to operations.
• Collaborate with Architecture to validate designs for robustness and scalability.
• Work with Operations to integrate security controls across the estate.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the engineering team.
