Technique Recruitment Solutions are working alongside our client who are manufacturers of high-end products servicing theengineering sector with an ever-increasing product range. Customer expectations are excellence in product design, cost and delivery performance.
Theyare seeking a NEBOSH qualified, professional with a track record gained from working within a high-risk environment. The right candidate will be experienced in working closely with stakeholders at all levels within the organisation.
As a Senior HS&E Manager, you will take responsibility for the management of HSE across the main site and use your knowledge and experience to provide support to the other HSE team members within the Group.
As a critical HSE business partner you will specifically support, challenge, inspire and coach the leadership teams and team members across the site in delivering the HSE strategy across the site.
The focus will be on the development of a highly effective, best in class HSE culture, values, behaviours, systems, and processes; ensuring there is no team member harm.

Key responsibilities will include:

To guide, support and lead the leaderships and their line management by the creation and delivery of a health and safety strategy and roadmap.

To guide and support the company teams in the compliance and monitoring of all HSE standards, policies, procedures, and management systems.

Ensuring that HSE improvement plans are developed within the company, implemented, and monitored in compliance with UK legal requirements and the Corporate HSE strategy.

Providing expertise, leadership and specialist advice to the company management teams and team members as required.

Providing HSE Training, guidance and coaching to line managers and team members to enable them to understand and effectively utilise the HSE Management systems.

To support and enable effective Accident and Incident investigations to be completed in order to identify the immediate and underlying causes and the appropriate corrective actions.

To provide the appropriate level of challenge and help in developing actions to avoid repeat incidents.

Facilitate the effective communication of HSE issues and learning points generated by site observations and from the corporate HSE teams.

To identify themes and help develop, implement, and monitor HSE strategies which will help to continually improve the companies HSE performance year on year

Your experience/qualities will include:
• NEBOSH certified, preferably an IOSH member at Grad IOSH minimum or equivalent
• Consistent career history undertaking HSE management in high risk entities, with up to date knowledge of current UK legislation covering HSE.
• Strong HSE system auditing experience.
• Clear understanding and belief in behavioural based HSE leadership.
• Proven ability to run multiple projects simultaneously.
• Track record of developing strategy and converting into action plans to meet desired goals.
• Ability to work in a calm, controlled approach with a keen eye for detail
• Ability to manage and prioritise workload
• Self-starter and able to use initiative.
• Good communication skills
• Computer literate
• Demonstrate and lead by example the Company’s core values and leadership qualities
