Job summary

The Willows Care Home in Hinckley, Leicestershire, seeks a Head Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping team and uphold high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation across resident rooms, bathrooms, and communal areas. You will coordinate daily operations, monitor quality, manage supplies and support staff through training and leadership, with flexibility across seven days and a 32-hour contract.

£13.85–£14.20 per hour, enhanced DBS, uniform provided, and benefits include life cover,

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a housekeeping or supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Good understanding of cleaning standards, hygiene and infection control.
• Ability to manage workload, priorities and team performance.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the housekeeping team to maintain hygiene and presentation in resident rooms, bathrooms and communal areas.
• Coordinate daily operations and ensure infection control and health and safety procedures are followed.
• Monitor quality, manage supplies and support training and development of staff.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide a well organised and responsive service.
