Job summary

The Willows Care Home is seeking a Head Housekeeper to take overall responsibility for cleanliness, presentation and organisation of the home in Hinckley. You’ll lead the housekeeping team, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment and maintaining high hygiene standards across resident rooms and communal areas.

You will monitor daily operations, manage supplies and staff training, and work closely with other departments to deliver a responsive service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a housekeeping or supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Good understanding of cleaning standards, hygiene and infection control.
• Ability to manage workload, priorities and team performance.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the housekeeping team, overseeing the cleaning of residents' rooms, bathrooms and all communal areas to ensure high hygiene and presentation standards.
• Coordinate daily operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and in line with infection control and health and safety procedures.
• Monitor quality, manage supplies and train/guide the team to maintain a well organised, responsive service.
• Work with other departments to ensure smooth operation and a positive resident experience.
