Job summary

Akari Care Limited is recruiting a Housekeeper for a care home in North Shields, United Kingdom, leading the domestic and laundry teams to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in residents’ rooms and communal areas.

You will roster staff to ensure resident care is always covered, train and coach the domestic and laundry teams, and adapt to changing rostering needs with flexibility in a fast-paced care environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a similar care environment.
• Housekeeper or team leader experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in residents' rooms and communal areas.
• Support, train and coach the domestic and laundry teams.
• Ensure rostering provides adequate staff coverage.
• Continually assess the domestic needs of residents.
• Deliver services to high standards in line with policies and procedures.
• Promote continual improvement of cleaning standards and resident care.
